CEU Course Descriptions

Value Engineering with CPVC Water Distribution Systems
This course is worth 0.1 CEU or 1 PDH
This course is intended to educate the engineering community on CPVC as an acceptable, value-engineering alternative material. It covers the material properties, code status, standards and design considerations for a CPVC water distribution system.

The Science of Solvent Welding
This course is worth 0.1 CEU or 1 PDH
This course explains how solvent welding works, the factors that can affect proper specification and application of solvent cements, and the fundamental differences between a solvent weld and a glued joint.

Introduction to CPVC Piping Systems
This course is worth 0.1 CEU or 1 PDH
This course provides an introductory overview of CPVC technology ranging from the chemical properties of the materials to the environmental performance of CPVC pipe and fittings. Attendees will learn the general design parameters of CPVC systems and review the applicable codes and standards which can be used to specify CPVC for various applications.

CPVC Piping Systems for Industrial Applications
This course is worth 1 PDH (State Credits only)
This course covers Corzan CPVC's physical properties, its cost and performance advantages and how it fits into industrial process applications. Attendees will also gain experience with using Corzan CPVC's Engineering Design Manual and Chemical Resistance Chart.

Differences Between Non-Metallic Potable Piping Systems
This course is worth 0.1 CEU or 1 PDH
This course reviews which plastic piping materials are approved for use in potable water systems. The course covers codes and standards, material classification techniques, joining methods, and common material precautions unique to using plastic piping systems.

Piping Considerations for ANSI ASHRAE 188-2015
This course is worth 0.1 CEU or 1 PDH
This course reviews the 3rd party research on piping material impacts on ASHRAE-188 2015 legionella control processes and demonstrates the effects of disinfection procedures on commonly used piping materials.
